Scary Movie workprint (2000)

Running Time: 1:20:48 plus extras

Language: English

Quality Rating: C

Full Screen

No Subtitles

Directed By: Keenan Ivory Wayans

Starring: Shannon Elizabeth, Marlon Wayans, Carmen Electra

Also Known As: Last Summer I Screamed Because Halloween Fell on Friday the 13th; Scream if You Know What I Did Last Halloween

A parody of modern horror films, with a group of teens being terrorized by a masked killer. Some of the films which are spoofed include "Scream", "I Know What You Did Last Summer", "The Blair Witch Project", "The Sixth Sense", and "The Matrix".

This version of the film is a work print, and contains many differences from the theatrical release, including:

  • Does not include the "Whassup!" scene.

  • Alternate music tracks in some scenes.

  • Alternate angle of the killer reading the porno magazine.

  • Drew's boyfriend is not a Prince look alike, but an African-Amercian wearing a wig and a shiny purple shirt.

  • Cindy's PG-13 scene shows her with 4 pairs of nipples, and not a beer belly with man breasts.

  • The three girls at school discuss the pictures of Drew, and they are disgusted by the fact that she was wearing a Gucci sweater and Payless shoes.

  • The report card is different - the grades read D - U - M - B - A - S - S, instead of the word "dumbass" being printed on the report card.

  • Brenda is called Brandy in some scenes.

  • The voice on the intercom at school is different.

  • The Sheriff and Squigman discuss Cindy's mother, and their comments get very rude, ending with the Sheriff humping the principal's desk. Cindy walks in and Squigman thanks the Sheriff for cleaning his desk.

  • When the principal makes Doofy leave, he says "I think it's time for you to go back to special ed. The Sheriff, maybe he'll play with you a little bit later."

  • When the killer is in Cindy's house and talks to her on the phone, he says "I'm gonna kill you. I'm gonna slice you up. I'm gonna gut you like a fish."

  • Bobby doesn't drop a cell phone - he drops a mask and a bloody knife.

  • Buffy explains to Cindy how she can eat junk food and not gain weight. Then she vomits up the doughnuts, picks up a pizza and offers some to Cindy.

  • When the killer talks to Cindy on the phone at Buffy's house, he says "Poor Bobby boy. An innocent guy doesn't stand a chance."

  • When Shorty walks into the cafeteria, he says "I got the ill case of the munchies. I wonder what's for lunch." He looks at the menu, and it reads "Same old shit". The next menu reads "More same old shit." Shorty takes a plate and says "Pile that shit on!"

  • Shorty shouts out in the cafeteria "Party at Cindy's house! Bring your own bitches!"

  • When Gail is asking the Sheriff about suspects, Doofy says "Does anyone wanna smell my finger?"

  • The killer repeatedly stabs Buffy in the stomach, and pulls out her intestines while she says "Whatever, Mr. Killer. Oh look, more knives. You're so original. Jokes over, idiot!" When her head is put into the Lost and Found container, Buffy's head says "Oh my God! I see a Kathy Ireland tag! You can't do this to me!"

  • Ray hands Brenda an jockstrap and tells her to shove it into her pants.

  • The scene in the bathroom stall is longer, when Ray is tickled with the penis, he says "Do that again!"

  • When Brenda is stabbed in the theatre, she has additional lines of dialogue.

  • When Bobby goes down on Cindy, he is doing it wrong so she draws a diagram and gives him a compass to find his way. When he begins the acts, he coughs up a hairball.

  • After Bobby is stabbed by the killer, he turns to Cindy and is holding a ketchup bottle.

  • When Ray goes to use the voice changer, at first it doesn't work (instead of having a woman's voice).

  • Cindy's mid-air dance is different, more like an Irish jig.

  • Cables are visible when Cindy drops from the air during the battle with the killer.

  • Cindy isn't hit by a car at the end, she just screams "Noooooo!"

There are other small differences in the film, but these are the reported major ones. There are no credits at the end of the film.

After the workprint footage there are some deleted scenes, a "behind-the-scenes" featurette, and the theatrical trailer.

Scream uncut (1996)

Running Time: 1:50:50

Language: English

Quality Rating: A

Letterboxed

No Subtitles

Directed By: Wes Craven

Starring: David Arquette, Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Skeet Ulrich, Rose McGowan, Matthew Lillard

Teenager Sidney Prescott becomes the target of a killer who has stalked and killed one of her classmates. A tabloid news reporter is determined to uncover the truth, insisting that the man who raped and killed Campbell's mother one year earlier is the same man who is terrorizing her now.

This uncut version of the film contains footage that was cut from the final release to avoid an NC-17 rating. The following scenes have been restored:

  • Steve's guts are shown pouring out of him as Casey looks on. In the released version, the very last few moments of this are shown.

  • Casey hanging from the tree was time compressed in the film release (it is at normal speed here).

  • When Tatum meets her death by garage door, her head is shown, very briefly being flattened.

  • After Kenny the cameraman's throat is cut, he stares at the blood on his hand after touching his neck, and then looks up at the killer.

  • Billy clearly loses control as he delivers his final cuts to Stuart.

  • After Billy and Stuart have finished stabbing each other, there is a shot of Stu's hand dripping blood into a puddle, with Sydney's father looking on.

The "D-Man" hosts the footage as well, providing what he certainly felt was some amusing commentary on the action.
