Also Known As: This Is America; Crazy Ridiculous American People |
First of three "This Is America" films by Romano Vanderbes where the director explores those wild and crazy Americans and the ridiculous things they do! Pretty tame by today's standards, and probably not very shocking in 1977 either. Sexual freedom, radical religions, and Indianapolis 500 are a few of the topics presented here. Check out This Is America Part 2 and America Exposed for the rest of the trilogy.

Directed By: David Ullman & Matt Jackson |
Starring: David Ullman, Corey Steele, Ken Starcher |
This legendary amateur film was directed and produced by David Ullman and Matt Jackson, (who also star in it as Eric and Skullcowboy). The film is very faithful to the story that was presented in the original Crow comic series by James O'Barr. There are a few images recreated from the feature film, but for the most part it is centered on the events that took place in the comic. The film's amateur production helps to capture the essence of the original comic book series. Fans of the comic will certainly appreciate the work that went into this high quality amateur production. |
