Disappointing follow up to the original Canibal Holocaust that tells the story of a woman reporter who hires a crew of men to help her locate a professor who is performing his studies in the jungle. Surprisingly, none of the "stars" die in this film. Ooops, sorry if I spoiled it for you. If you are looking for animal cruelty scenes, you won't find them here - this movie shows numerous scenes of kindness to animals, apparently compensating for the distasteful animal torturing portrayed in the first movie. |

A wonderfully inept attempt to cash in on the euro-cannibal craze of the era. The acting is terrible, the effects are worse, but you will enjoy watching the whitebread "actors" who cluelessly stumble about in their cannibal costumes. This film shares many common elements with Jess Franco's The Cannibals, hinting that perhaps Franco may have had something to do with the production but was too ashamed to be named in the credits. |

A pretty decent gangster film from the 70's, with a talented cast. Possibly the most significant element of this film, however, is it marks the first time a major film studio included full frontal nudity footage of an actress with her legs spread in a non-porno movie. And we're not talking a bush shot here - you see the real deal. Ms. Blakely's parents are surely proud of their daughter's accomplishments. |

Reb Brown stars as Captain America and fights for truth, justice and the American way. A sinister terrorist, Miguel, played by Christopher Lee, is trying to blackmail the United States. Unless his demands are meat; he plays on unleashing a dangerous toxin that causing rapid aging on it's unsuspecting victims. This portrayal of the "star spangled avenger" is definitely not the comic book version, but Reb Brown's sincerity and honesty make it work. |

Dr. John Basso (Tremayne), a controversial stage hypnotist, claims that his beautiful assistant Doreena (Delany) can conjure up the lives of those long dead while under his spell. His act plays nightly at a local resort, where it catches the attention of shrewd businessman Sam Crane (Fletcher) - especially when Basso ends his show with a prediction of a murder that same night. When the prediction proves true, Crane approaches Basso with a money-making opportunity. The pressure builds to keep the show exciting, the murders continue, and strange reports of a hideous creature rising from the nearby lake are heard. Can all these things be connected? Filmmaker Larry Buchanan may be best remembered for his grade Z remakes of B-movies. In this case, Creature of Destruction is a re-make of Edward L. Cahn's The She-Creature. It contains just about everything one might expect from a Larry Buchanan effort: rock-bottom production values, campy acting, cliché-ridden dialogue, and a bargain-basement monster. |

George Romero and Stephen King's tribute to E.C. Comics, the pulp horror comic books of the 50's that presented tales of morbid humor. This film tell five such stories: Father's Day, a graveyard tale of a walking corpse seeking revenge; The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill, where King portrays a bumpkin who witnesses a meteor crash which causes green fungus to overcome everything; The Crate, about a caged creature who is freed to feast on humans; Something to Tide You Over, another walking corpse story; and They're Creeping Up on You, about a millionaire and his cockroach problem. Awesome special FX by the master, Tom Savini. This workprint version of the film contains 10 minutes of aditional footage which was edited from the theatrical and home video release. There is no running timer on this workprint. |

Incredibly bizarre kung-fu flick featuring real life "crippled" dudes - one has no arms, the other has no legs. The story has them both losing their appendages as punishments, then they hook up together and train in the martial arts. Horrible, if not humorous, dubbing and sound effects lend to the entertainment value of this production. |

This is the film that claimed the life of its star, Brandon Lee (son of Bruce Lee), who was accidentally shot on the set in early '93. It's a dark, surreal version of James O'Barr's comic book series about Eric Draven, a rock musician who is murdered and returns from the dead to wreak revenge against the sleazy criminals who did in him and his fiancee. The title refers to a supernatural bird that leads Draven through his bloody, vengeful experiences. This alternate version workprint of the film runs about 20 minutes longer than the theatrical version, and contains numerous different scenes and additional dialogue. Some of the final sound effects and optical effects are missing, but this film remains fascinating to watch if you are a fan of the film. There are no ending credits. This curiosity defies all logical explanation. Some footage from the 70's seems to have been spliced together with some footage from the 60's, and voila we have a movie. The general idea here is that a group of students go out into the woods on a field trip in search of, well, bigfoot of course. See what is quite possibly the worst bigfoot suit ever made, as well as some totally amatuerish effects. Highly recommended, two thumbs-up fun! Click here for some SCREENCAPS. |
