Peter Greenaway's most controversial film is a story of the exploitation of innocence. The film is set in the 17th century, with visually rich scenery and costumes, and powerful characters. A baby is born unto a virgin mother (Julia Ormond), and the poor townsfolk are in awe of the miracle son. They seek the blessing of the son and mother, for which they pay dearly. Ralph Fiennes attempts to expose the fraud, and ends up being killed by the son. The boy is ultimately taken by the church, who takes the exploitation of the boy to new levels until the mother kills the boy. For this deed, her punishment is a very disturbing gang rape. This version of the film is the original uncut and uncensored 122 minute version, including full frontal nudity of both Ralph Fiennes and Julia Ormond. |

This tape consists of assorted footage which appears to be screen tests for Crispin Glover (George McFly). There are several different scenes, played over and over, often with other actors filling in for the Michael J. Fox and Lea Thompson characters. Quality of this material is very rough, but it is watchable and audible. Also included with this tape/disc is Crispin Glover's appearance on David Letterman's show. |
